All Bosnian pilgrims well, completed the most important and demanding part of Hajj

(Patria) - While believers in Bosnia and Herzegovina are celebrating the first day of Kurban-Bajram, Bosnian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia are spending the first day of Bajram resting after two demanding previous days.

All have completed the most important Hajj ritual - standing on Arafat - and are currently in stable health condition.

Izet-ef. Čamdžić, chief guide of the Hajj and Umrah Office, said that all pilgrims were transported to Muzdalifah last night, where, in accordance with Sharia regulations, they performed the Maghrib and Isha prayers, shortened and combined.

They stayed in Muzdalifah until midnight, and some even longer, depending on their arrival time.

- After that, they walked to Mina. The first groups were already in Mina around two to two-thirty in the morning, and by nine o'clock in the morning, all our pilgrims had arrived at the hotel.

After throwing pebbles at the Jamarat, the pilgrims returned to their hotel in Mecca, while one group of our pilgrims headed to Mina, where they will stay until the day after tomorrow, when they will also return to the hotel - he said.

He added that the high temperatures on Arafat, as well as the long walk, caused certain health difficulties, but there were no serious cases.

Maid Ibrahimović, a member of the technical team, points out that a total of 353 pilgrims and 251 female pilgrims are currently staying in Mina, and their stay is fully organized and provided for.

- All activities are proceeding according to plan. We are holding lectures and are continuously with our pilgrims, so everything is happening in accordance with the plan and program of the Hajj and Umrah Office of the Islamic Community in BiH - said Ibrahimović.

The pilgrims are in stable health condition, and Dr. Ajdin Rovčanin, chief physician of the Hajj and Umrah Office, emphasizes that there were no serious cases.

He says that, as expected, due to high temperatures and long walks, pilgrims experienced milder health issues such as heatstroke, dehydration, and elevated blood pressure.

- Individual gastrointestinal problems were also recorded, but we had no serious complications or demanding medical interventions.

During the movement to Muzdalifah, considering the long journey and walk, we had two to three interventions for individuals who were in a pre-collapse state.

We reacted on the spot, provided assistance, and everyone was transferred to their hotels without complications - stated Rovčanin.

He concluded that everything proceeded in a relatively stable and orderly manner.

While believers in Bosnia and Herzegovina are celebrating the first day of Bajram, the pilgrims in Mecca spent the morning resting.

It is planned that during the day they will perform the Hajj tawaf and sa'i, and in the coming days, the second and third pebble-throwing, after which this year's Hajj will be completed.
