Every day of Ramadan, 100 iftars for the most vulnerable categories of Bihać residents

(Patria) - The humanitarian organization Muslim Charitable Society (MDD) Merhamet Bihać has continued the implementation of the Ramadan campaign "Iftar 2026".

As part of this campaign, every day during the month of Ramadan, 100 iftars are distributed, i.e., a total of 3,000 meals to citizens who are fasting and are in a state of social need, elderly people, pensioners, and persons without income.

Today's activities included delivering iftars to the local community Hatinac in Bihać, where they were distributed to citizens with lower financial status.

The president of Merhamet Bihać, Fikret Draganović, says this is a regular Ramadan activity of this organization.

- We delivered Ramadan iftars here for our fellow citizens with lower financial status. This is our regular Ramadan activity, and we hope to continue its implementation in the coming years - said Draganović.

The president of the local community Hatinac, Sulejman Alagić, emphasized that Merhamet organizes the distribution of iftars throughout the city every year during Ramadan.

- Every Ramadan, Merhamet delivers iftars to us. There are many local communities in the city of Bihać, and all are covered by this Merhamet campaign, which has continued this year as well. It is a nice tradition and a good humanitarian action during the month of Ramadan - added Alagić.
