Aerial disinsection begins tomorrow in three cantons

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted a Decision on the implementation of aerial disinsection measures in flood-affected areas of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, proposed by the Ministry of Health, which begins tomorrow, Patria reports.

It is planned that the implementation of these measures will begin as early as tomorrow, first in the Posavina Canton in the municipalities of Domaljevac-Šamac, Odžak and Orašje. Aerial disinsection measures will also be carried out in the municipalities of Doboj-istok, Gračanica and Lukavac in the Tuzla Canton, and in the Zenica-Doboj Canton in the municipalities of Doboj-jug and Maglaj.

With the aim of protecting the health of the population from infectious diseases, protecting plant and animal life, as well as protecting the environment in flood-affected areas of the Federation of BiH, the Government of the Federation of BiH agrees with the implementation of emergency aerial disinsection measures in flood-affected areas of the Federation of BiH, which are carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republika Srpska.

The aerial disinsection measures in flood-affected areas of the Federation of BiH will be carried out by authorized bodies of the Republic of Croatia, in cooperation with authorized bodies in the entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as authorized bodies of the Republic of Serbia.

Co-financing of the implementation of emergency aerial disinsection measures in flood-affected areas of the Federation of BiH will be secured from the funds of the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of BiH for 2014 in the amount of 266,000 BAM, Patria reports.
