Tomorrow, an advertisement for the sale of the "Bobar Banka" building

The liquidator of Bobar Banka, Mile Maksimović, told the portal Capital.ba that the Agency for Banking of Republika Srpska has given consent for the sale of the business premises of Bobar Banka in Bijeljina, and the advertisement for the sale will be published tomorrow in the newspapers, reports the news agency Patria.

Maksimović says that Brčko District, which claims more than 21 million KM, as well as Privredna and Hercegovačka Bank, have so far initiated lawsuits against "Bobar Banka".

- We have previously published recognized claims, and there are no disputes there. However, in the case of Brčko District, they insist on the right of separation and priority of claim collection. We have set aside 20 million marks in case we lose that lawsuit, but I believe that will not happen, Maksimović believes.

Maksimović claims that the decision of the Agency for Banking of Republika Srpska on the priority of collecting credit obligations of business entities towards "Bobar Banka" is in accordance with the Law on Payment Transactions and the Law on Obligations.

He says that the prosecution should carefully monitor the behavior of companies that owe loans to "Bobar Banka" and whose giro accounts were blocked at the beginning of the year based on the order of the Agency for Banking.

- Many companies have opened new giro accounts and continued their operations. Some have registered new companies. It is unclear to us how the pipe factory "Unis" from Derventa started exporting its products, with a debt to "Bobar Banka" of more than six million marks, says Maksimović.

Marko Ostojić, owner of the private company "Ming coffee" from Bijeljina, confirmed to Capital that the bank "Intesa Sanpaolo" activated a bill of exchange and sold his company because he could not repay the loan, which had reached 4.4 million KM.

- My debt was 3,367,499 KM, but due to default interest, it grew to 4.4 million KM, and I told the bank officials that I could not repay the loan," says Ostojić, emphasizing that he took out the loan to help member companies of "Bobar Grupa" in the form of a loan.

Ostojić claims that everything was regulated by contracts, and that after the liquidation of Bobar Banka, with the help of his lawyers, he insisted on the "offsetting" of debts between the members of "Bobar Grupa", which at that time owned 62 percent of Bobar Banka, in order to release those who wanted to help "Bobar Grupa" in this way from their credit obligations.

"I intended to help "Bobar Grupa" with a loan for 60 to 90 days. However, after the death of Gavrilo Bobar, "things went downhill". The mortgage was activated, and I had to lay off 25 workers," says Ostojić, adding that the new owner of "Ming coffee" took over a number of workers.
