(Patria) - The ruling coalition in the smaller BiH entity will decide tomorrow how to participate in the local elections in BiH.
- We believe that colleagues who did not respond have been working with Christian Schmidt and certain ambassadors from the start - said the President of the National Assembly of the RS, Nenad Stevandić, to the media after the meeting he convened, which was not attended by representatives of the opposition in the RS.
Stevandić said the idea was to postpone the elections until the RS Election Law comes into force, but a decision will be made.
The President of the RS and SNSD, Milorad Dodik, after the meeting attended by representatives of the ruling parties and those with councilors in municipal and city assemblies in the RS, said there is a concept to impose electoral will and that this would put the RS in a position where it cannot hold elections based on the will of the people.
- I advocate for not going to the elections under the condition of consensus of all political factors - said Dodik, adding that the leaders of opposition parties want to curry favor with others and that this is a cowardly act.
He emphasized that the opposition leaders should have come and said to everyone's face what they think, questioning how they will have the strength and courage when they come to power.
- Electoral processes cannot take place without a general consensus of the forces participating in the elections - Dodik asserted, adding that this is obviously not possible here.
The opposition in the RS boycotted today's meeting, stating that it is an alibi for the ruling parties to go to the elections under the elections called by the BiH Central Election Commission and under the BiH Election Law, whose amendments were imposed by High Representative Christian Schmidt.
