Judge Uzunović files criminal complaint against Milorad Dodik

(Patria) - BiH Court Judge Sena Uzunović has filed a criminal complaint against RS President Milorad Dodik for false reporting and offering or giving a gift or other benefit, because after the verdict was pronounced, he said that her close relative came and asked for money for an acquittal.

Uzunović told Detektor that she filed the complaint with the BiH Prosecutor's Office immediately after the first-instance verdict was pronounced, when Dodik was found guilty of not respecting the decisions of the High Representative in BiH, and after the media reports where he stated that the judge, through a relative, asked him for money to issue an acquittal.

- Immediately after the verdict, I was giving a statement as a witness for two individuals who threatened me via TikTok, who were in custody, and at that time I requested that a new KTA case (undefined criminal offense or perpetrator, indicating an unlawful act) be opened and filed a complaint for false reporting through the media and for the potential offering or giving of a gift or other benefit - Uzunović explained.

She says she filed the complaint against Dodik at the end of February with the duty prosecutor Igor Dubak, and that she is unaware of its status.

- Because I am neither informed about it, nor did I send any of my family members. I asked for it to be investigated. If it is true, let it be checked, to whom he gave it if he gave it, and who represented himself as me because I have absolutely nothing to do with it.

I stand by this complaint, and as far as I am concerned, if it is proven true that he gave money to someone in my name, and I have nothing to do with it, let him be prosecuted - both for what he gave and for the one who received it, as the law dictates - Uzunović stated.

Judge Uzunović delivered a non-final verdict by which Dodik was sentenced to one year in prison and six years of holding the office of president for not respecting the decisions of the High Representative.

Dodik was found guilty of, from July 1 to July 9, 2023, in Banja Luka, knowingly and aware that the High Representative Christian Schmidt had made a decision preventing the entry into force of the Law on Non-application of Decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH from July 1 of the same year, as well as the decision preventing the entry into force of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Publication of Laws and Other Regulations of RS, undertaking actions aimed at continuing the legislative procedure, without applying and implementing the decisions of the High Representative.

Due to threats against Uzunović after the pronouncement of the first-instance verdict, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested Marko Plavšić and Ljuban Jukić. They were then ordered into one month of detention.
