Meeting Cormack-Izetbegović: Implement necessary reforms faster

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović received the Ambassador of the United States of America to BiH Maureen Cormack. The interlocutors exchanged views on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special focus on the implementation of reforms and the process of our country's accession to Euro-Atlantic integrations.

Izetbegović assessed that the submission of the Questionnaire to the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker at the end of this month will be an incentive for everyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina to fulfill the conditions for EU membership faster and more efficiently in the coming period.

Izetbegović thanked Ambassador Cormack for the strong support that the USA provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina in fulfilling the conditions for EU membership, as well as in the process of MAP activation.

They also discussed amendments to the Election Law related to the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, where Izetbegović emphasized the position that a solution acceptable to all parliamentary parties needs to be reached.
