The Twilight of Capitalism is Kukić's Reckoning with Capitalism, but Also with Commies in SDA and HDZ

The Twilight of Capitalism is the new book by academician Slavo Kukić. According to experts and promoters, this book is the most valuable contribution to the development of social thought written in recent years. Kukić is not the only critic of neoliberalism, but with his work, he has made an ideological leap through which the future is projected in a way that avoids ideological conflict with neoliberalism. In this direction, Kukić introduces the new neutral term eco-socialism as an alternative to the current socio-economic order of the world.

- Kukić has gone further than many theorists because he believes that not only neoliberalism has failed, but all capitalisms. It has been shown that neoliberalism does not have the ability to solve crises such as wealth disparity, hunger, or even stopping pandemics. Most importantly, the book introduces and announces pluralism in economic and political thought, while we have had the rule of one school which is dominant and from which economic policies are derived. Neoliberalism has obscured alternative political thoughts, believes Professor Kadrija Hadžić from Tuzla.

The author of the book says that this book is also an analysis of existing nationalisms in BiH, as well as all others present in transition countries. He says of himself that he is not a communist, because they are in SDA and HDZ, but a leftist who has not given up on the idea of social justice and the fight to stop the destruction of the planet through the race for capital.

- As a scientist, Kukić is important for understanding our situation, where what is happening is not neoliberalism but the savage exploitation of capital that has destroyed the legacy of liberal socialism. A brutal, predatory, vampiric organization of the economy has brought a large number of people below the poverty line, said Professor Enver Kazaz.

Through Kukić's thinking and pointing out the increasingly present state interventionism, first in the banking sector, and later during the pandemic, it clearly indicates that the state is maintaining the failed idea of a free market. Neoliberalism has been exposed as a mask for the rule of an oligarchy that manages the socio-economic order. The Twilight of Capitalism is Slavo Kukić's 35th book, which places him among the most productive scientists in BiH, but also shows that he can equally compete with the highest world authorities.
