Šuman on EC: I have no complaints about the players

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - BiH handball players with coach Bilal Šuman arrived at Sarajevo Airport today after concluding their participation in the first European Championship. Although they recorded three losses (Norway, Portugal, France), the BiH players have something to be proud of.

"We felt what the European Championship is like. We played three games, we lost all three, however, our goal was to create continuity in playing at such competitions. I still stand by the fact that our national team has the quality and potential to be participants in all major competitions. There were many good things in Trondheim, as well as those we need to improve. I can be satisfied with our defense, especially in a 6 against 6 situation, every team struggled with us. That was one of the better segments of our game, and the goalkeepers were also at a high level. Positional offense is something we need to work on in the coming period, as well as on those technical errors that happened to us frequently. Both the Norwegians and the French punished us," said Bilal Šuman.

He said that he has no complaints about his players.

"They showed great desire, fighting spirit and will were not lacking, perhaps they even burned out in that some kind of huge desire. I hope that there will be more such competitions for BiH in the future."

Muhamed Toromanović will say goodbye to the national team. Šuman also announced the arrival of some younger players.

"The goal and vision of our national team is that we must create continuity in playing at such competitions, so that we can later see how far we are from one day reaching the second round."
