Suljkanović on the new Government of TK: I accepted the position to prevent anarchy

TUZLA, (Patria) - The newly formed Government of Tuzla Canton, led by Prime Minister Jakub Suljkanović, held its first session, and the Prime Minister stated that citizens should not fear for the financial stability and work of the Government. 

- The work of the Government has the support of the Assembly majority of 20 representatives, and there is coordination for all tasks. On the other hand, I want to say that the Government of TK will work according to previously adopted program solutions and the adopted budget. We already have key documents adopted, and there will be no radical turnaround or changes - said Suljkanović.

Suljkanović also announced that the Government will be completed very soon, given that on Saturday the names for two ministries were not submitted. 

Speaking about the reasons why the previous Government was overthrown and a new one appointed, Suljkanović emphasized that it is a consequence of the desire of certain representatives to preserve peace and stability in Tuzla Canton.

- I can tell you, as a professional with 27 years of business experience in various companies and institutions, I have never received nor sought any position from the SDA. I accepted this position only to prevent complete instability and anarchy from being introduced into TK. If this government with this majority had not been formed, there would be chaos in TK, because the previous government did not cooperate with the Assembly, which caused problems in the functioning of the authorities. I responsibly claim based on the facts at my disposal, because the previous three years were positive, and 2018 will be as well. Only artificial instability can be introduced by individuals and groups who have an interest in it. Nevertheless, budget beneficiaries should not fear being denied their rights - said Suljkanović. 

Suljkanović also said that no one "from Sarajevo or from the top of the party asked me what I think about this situation."

- My desire is to preserve the stability of the canton; it is important that some people remain in the Government who can continue in continuity.

According to information from the Executive Board of the SDA Srebrenik, Suljkanović has been expelled from this party, and he announced an appeal.
