(Patria) - Director of the Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial Center Emir Suljagić sent an official response to the Government of Republika Srpska stating that they cannot provide conditions for a visit given the views and policies of the RS Government regarding the genocide committed in Srebrenica against Bosniaks in the UN protected zone.
"If the president and representatives of the RS Government insist on paying tribute to the victims from the period 1992-1995, they can do so on the way to Srebrenica, specifically in Srebrenica, they can lay flowers on the school playground in front of the elementary school where, in April 1993, 74 Bosniaks from Srebrenica and Podrinje were killed by VRS artillery fire, and more than 100 were wounded.
If they do not wish to do so in Srebrenica, the RS Government can stop and lay flowers in front of the Agricultural Cooperative warehouse in Kravica, where members of the special police brigade of the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs killed more than 1300 captured Bosniak civilians from the Srebrenica enclave", stated Suljagić.
