Suljagić: The people making decisions about us today want only good for themselves!

Emir Suljagić, candidate for the Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency from Željko Komšić's Democratic Front, in an interview with the Patria news agency, commenting on the latest statements by politicians from Republika Srpska, especially Milorad Dodik, the leader of SNSD, said that in the fight against the enemies of this country, we don't need big words, but big deeds like Glasaću za Srebrenicu, Prvi mart, or Domovina.

- I believe that the fight against Dodik today is a fight for jobs, and that jobs, more than rifles once did, weaken the enemies of this country, and that we should focus on that instead of the unproductive whining we have witnessed for some time – says Suljagić.

He further explained that a clear vision is a prerequisite for the success of any policy.

- I know how I want this country to look in ten, twenty, or thirty years, and I work on that vision on a daily basis. And I have worked on it for the past two years as an activist – and before that – and I will continue to work on it as a member of the BiH Presidency. Allow me to remind you that with a group of students and demobilized members of the Army of BiH, I defeated Dodik in the local elections in Srebrenica, while those whose job it was at that moment were actually putting a price tag on Srebrenica – added Suljagić.

Reminding that he did the same with the First of March, which prevented the adoption of the Law on Residence agreed upon by the Lagumdžija-Dodik axis, and successfully mediated the formation of the Domovina coalition, asking for absolutely nothing for himself.

- You have to believe in something; the people making decisions about us, our destiny, and our country today neither know where they are going nor what they want, except that they want good for themselves. And only for themselves – Suljagić is of the opinion.

The BiH Presidency has for a long time been unable to reach a consensus on important issues such as sanctions against Russia and the situation in Gaza.

- Consensus is overrated. None of that will prevent me from clearly stating my position and using all constitutional and institutional possibilities to implement it – added Suljagić, categorically stating that he would not meet with the Israeli ambassador at this moment.
