Suljagić: Izetbegović told me we are stronger when we are hungry!

Regarding the latest slanders and attacks from Bakir Izetbegović's cabinet, Emir Suljagić, candidate for the BiH Presidency member on behalf of the Democratic Front – Željko Komšić, wishes to inform the public of the following: 

Any slander, insult, and lie directed at me from the mouths of Bakir Izetbegović and his cronies represents the best recommendation for the people on whom to vote in these elections. The “Domovina” coalition was exclusively abused by Bakir Izetbegović, using it as a tool to settle scores with other parties, dissenters within his own party, and to attack me, which he does in agreement with his ally Zlatko Lagumdžija. The coordinated attacks against me, their lies and slanders leave no doubt that a strategic alliance against change has been formed by Zlatko and Bakir, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Bakir's attitude towards the Domovina coalition is eloquently described by the fact that he is in cahoots with Lagumdžija, who has been working against this coalition from the very beginning, following the instructions of his boss Milorad Dodik. 

As I have stated before, neither of the two meetings with Bakir Izetbegović on the topic of supporting the First of March and “Domovina” yielded results. On the contrary, at the first of the two meetings, when I, accompanied by another activist of the First of March, asked for help for the First of March in the office of the BiH Presidency member, Bakir replied: “You are stronger when you are hungry!”. 

I understand that Bakir is in a panic because he sees that he is losing the elections, but this is not and cannot be a reason for slander, lies, and deception. I call on him to conduct the rest of the campaign with dignity, because, as he saw at the SDA congress in 2009, defeat is not the end of the world.
