Suljagić: Izetbegović flew by helicopter, his entourage humiliated people in Željezno Polje!

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović visited Doboj and Maglaj yesterday - areas hit by floods in May, accompanied by Zekerijah Osmić, Minister of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and, as always, he flew by helicopter, writes the Patria news agency.

At the same time, as Emir Suljagić, DF candidate for the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, told NAP, his entourage of several cars passed through a crowd of dissatisfied people from Željezno Polje gathered on the M-17 main road.

- The humiliation of those people in Željezno Polje when the entourage of five or six cars, which did not include the Presidency member, passed through the crowd while the helicopter flew overhead above the crowd is probably something only those people can describe. A total moral fiasco, he flies, his entourage passes through the crowd, while people have been standing on the road for four months without anything, not knowing what to do, frantic and out of their minds - says Suljagić.

A particular problem was the request for engagement of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was sent during the day to the Ministry of Defence, but no one could respond to the request because the minister was with Chairman Izetbegović in the helicopter in Doboj.

- No one could call the minister to request verbal approval for the engagement of the Armed Forces, and it was only last night around 6 PM that the request reached the minister, i.e., the engagement of the Armed Forces was approved. It is not a problem that the minister was with the chairman, but someone should have picked up the phone and reacted - adds Suljagić.

He adds that the people in Željezno Polje have been left in the lurch by the authorities, who not only cannot do something but will not, because they have become so alienated from the people that they simply show no desire to solve their problem.

- I saw several groups of people, those who somehow came down from Željezno Polje despite the fact that there is no road communication anymore, others are those who were promised that they would get plots for houses in Žepče by today, but the local SDA and HDZ decided that they must stay in Željezno Polje, that they cannot by any chance come to the city so as not to change the national balance, and the third are people who pay rent themselves and live as tenants. All of them have been left in the lurch and no one cares about them - added Suljagić.
