Suljagić: Bakir, losing elections is not the end of the world, you know that from 2009!

Emir Suljagić, candidate of the Democratic Front – Željko Komšić for the BiH Presidency member, sent a public statement in which he responds to, as stated, lies from Bakir Izetbegović's cabinet, reports the Patria News Agency.

- I do not feel guilty because Bakir is unable to explain the gap between his legal income and the property he owns. It is clear to everyone that his monthly salary cannot afford everything he possesses. Instead of spreading lies about me, I invite him to let all cameras, media, and photographers into our homes, and for both of us to explain to the citizens how we earned what we have.

By spreading lies about me, Bakir and his cabinet are trying to hide the truth about themselves, and the truth is that five hundred thousand residents of BiH live on less than three marks a day and that twenty thousand citizens live on one meal from a soup kitchen daily. There are no lies that can hide this truth.

The inaccurate information about the source of my income during 2013 was published by Radio-Television of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which then refused to publish a rebuttal. I inform Bakir and his cabinet that I earned all my monetary income in 2013 by working for a private media company based in Sarajevo.

Furthermore, I refer Bakir to the statement of the activists of Glasaću za Srebrenicu (I Will Vote for Srebrenica) who confirmed that I made all my entitlements as a former minister available to the initiative, i.e., the coalition Prvi mart (First of March).

Question: How much did Bakir donate to "Glaceću za Srebrenicu" and the coalition Prvi mart? Nothing, and never. Moreover, when I and another activist of Prvi mart requested assistance, he openly told us: You are stronger when you are hungry!

Unlike him, I am an honest man and I have earned every dinar in my life honestly. My father taught me honesty; while Bakir was tucked away in the vault of the National Bank, my father, unarmed, stood before the enemies of this country and showed me by his example how to honorably and honestly defend what is sacred.

Finally, I tell Bakir that, as he could have learned back at the SDA Congress in 2009, losing elections is not the end of the world, the statement reads.
