Court expert entered Krivaja premises to examine if new owner honored the contract

A court expert entered the premises of Krivaja in Zavidovići this morning to determine how much of the contract was honored by Ortačka grupa, after they privatized the former Zavidovići giant in 2014.

One of Krivaja's employee representatives, Besim Husić, confirmed for Patria that the Cantonal Court in Zenica engaged a court expert who is to determine the correctness of the company's operations from 2014 to the present.

- Ortačka grupa took over Krivaja in 2014. At that time, about 1,000 workers were employed in the company. The new owner's obligations were to improve the company's operations, retain workers, ensure that there were never fewer than 800 workers in Krivaja, and invest in facilities - Husić told Patria. He claims that the new owner of Krivaja has honored almost nothing from the contract.

Krivaja workers, whose company name was changed to Krivaja Mobel by the new owner, have not been working for several months. They are now seeking the termination of the contract between Krivaja and Ortačka grupa, and the sale of the company to new investors. The Cantonal Court in Zenica has prohibited Ortačka grupa from disposing of Krivaja's assets until the court proceedings are concluded, and the workers claim that Ortačka grupa often does not respect the Court's decision, but they are not in a position to do anything to protect the company's assets.

- When Ortačka grupa took over Krivaja in 2014, they inherited over six million KM in loans. This money was previously paid to Krivaja by the Government of FBiH through the Federal Employment Bureau. Ortačka grupa, among other obligations, was supposed to continue repaying this loan. The monthly installment is around 40,000 KM. It seems that none of it has been repaid - Husić claims.

Last year, all companies in Zavidovići stopped working for several hours in solidarity with Krivaja workers, writes Patria.
