Trial of Dodik and Lukić scheduled for December 20, Nešić objects to St. Nicholas Day, but not to arrests of Bosniaks during Ramadan!

(Patria) - The trial of Milorad Dodik and Miloš Lukić for the criminal offense of non-implementation of decisions of the High Representative in BiH has been scheduled for December 20 at the Court of BiH.

The Appellate Division of the Court of BiH rejected the appeal of the defense of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik against the decision of the Court of BiH to refuse the transfer of the proceedings to the competent court in Banja Luka.

The defense's request for the transfer of the proceedings was previously rejected by the Non-Trial Panel, shortly before the initially scheduled main hearing, which was not held precisely because of the announced appeal, even though the accused had arrived at the Court of BiH.

Milorad Dodik and Miloš Lukić are accused of having, from July 1 to 9 this year in Banja Luka, knowingly and aware that the High Representative Christian Schmidt had made a decision preventing the entry into force of the Law on Non-Application of Decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH, undertaken official actions aimed at continuing the legislative procedure.

The BiH Minister of Security, Nenad Nešić, commented today on Dodik's trial, stating that Serbs are being humiliated because that day is the second day of St. Nicholas Day. He asked when Bosniaks were put on trial during Eid.

"Who did they summon to court during Ramadan? Where was this diligence all these years when it was necessary to try crimes committed against Serbs? Now you have remembered to be diligent when there is neither an act nor guilt," Nešić stated.

Nešić forgot that during the tenure of Goran Zubac, the director of SIPA, Bosniaks were arrested during Ramadan without an order from the BiH Prosecutor's Office. Such a case was with the state deputy Šemsudin Mehmedović, who was arrested on July 19, 2013, in the middle of Ramadan. No indictment was ever filed against him for alleged war crimes. The following Ramadan, former BiH boxer Mensur Peljto was arrested, and the court issued an acquittal for him.
