Dodik's Trial on February 5: Next Hearing May Be in March Due to RS President's Commitments

(Patria) - The main hearing in the case against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, has been postponed to February 5, instead of January 30.

At the last hearing, judge Mirsad Strika separated the case of Milorad Dodik and Miloš Lukić, given that Lukić did not appear at the last hearing because he was hospitalized. The possibility of merging the proceedings again has been left open. Dodik and Lukić are accused of the criminal offense of not implementing the decisions of the High Representative.

The hearing was postponed at the request of defense attorney Bubić due to commitments in another case.

After the hearing on February 5, it is possible that no more trials will be scheduled in that month due to the commitments of the RS president. Dodik announced today that from February 17 to March 7, he will have a series of meetings with world officials. He announced meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, and at the end of February or beginning of March with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Already on March 7, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is expected to arrive in Banja Luka to receive an award from RS.
