Court Reprimands Memić: He Says Supreme Court is Wasting His Time, I Will Never Forgive Dženan!

(Patria) - A hearing was held at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo for Muriz Memić, following a report by police officers of the Centar Police Administration for an unannounced gathering on October 5, 2018. 

Muriz Memić stated in court that he accepts responsibility and said that he knows what he did. Memić pleaded guilty and accepted responsibility, and the Court stated that a fine of 1,500 KM could be imposed.

“I have that money, I was ready to pay. I was embarrassed to beg, but the judge showed that he has his own integrity, he imposed a reprimand, like Igor Todorović who showed he has his own integrity. There are still honest and decent people.

I also said about the Ministry of Internal Affairs that criminals rule the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but that there are honest people, like Suad Tanković who advises me on how to get through protests more easily regarding paperwork. But there are criminals like Vahid Ćosić, Mevludin Halilović, Hasan Dupovac, Mirsad Đelilović, Džafer Hrvat, all of them are people who have committed crimes, who are hiding murderers. I think they should be investigated regarding how many apartments they have, where their weekend houses are, who brought what. Petty criminals have been arrested, but when will the bosses be held accountable?” Memić asked after the hearing.

In his statement, he also asked, “how can a police officer have three or four apartments, a condo, and a weekend house?”

“Let’s do some math and see how much he earned. Most of the drugs go through the Ministry of Internal Affairs, I am fighting with the mafia, with the octopus, and I will never stop. The State Prosecutor’s Office has expanded the investigation, and sooner or later it will be concluded, and perhaps I am even annoying, but in the end, I will take justice into my own hands, but I will not forgive Dženan. This is not a game, this has been going on for 4 and a half years, and this is too serious. Now, because many honest people have gotten involved, go sign this, that. I feel sorry for those people, but by God, let everyone be responsible for their deeds. I too was ready to be responsible,” said Memić.

The Memić family has been waiting for justice for four and a half years and is searching for the truth about Dženan Memić’s death. Not even two court proceedings have revealed how the young man sustained his injuries on the night of February 8, 2016, in Velika aleja, while he was in the company of Alisa Mutap.

“The Supreme Court is wasting my time. It cannot make any other decision, let them do a new expert examination. It must be stated that it was not a traffic accident, so that the investigation into murder can begin. The BiH State Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation into organized crime, and sooner or later this will be concluded. Around 300 people have been drawn into this. There are honest people, but also those who have bought apartments, cars, renovated houses, profited from Dženan, they live in Dženan’s apartment, he enabled them to do so,” Memić pointed out.

Ifet Feraget, the lawyer for the Memić family, explained that a reprimand is the mildest sanction provided by the Law on Misdemeanors when there are circumstances that significantly reduce the responsibility of the accused.
