(Patria) - The Court of BiH has also commented on the decision regarding the serving of prison sentences for those convicted in the "Respirators" case - Fikret Hodžić, Fadil Novalić, and Fahrudin Solak.
As stated in the press release from the Court of BiH, Fikret Hodžić has filed an appeal against the decision rejecting his request for postponement of the prison sentence execution, while Novalić and Solak have not yet done so.
We remind you that Novalić's request for postponement was rejected today.
- A convicted person has the right to appeal within three days from the date of receiving the decision on the request for postponement of the prison sentence execution. The appeal postpones the execution of the sentence. After the decision becomes final, or the decision on the appeal, the Court will, when delivering the decision on the appeal, inform the convicted persons when they are obliged to report for serving their prison sentence - they stated.
They also addressed the issue of issuing arrest warrants.
- An arrest warrant for a convicted person is issued only after that person has received a final decision, which specifies the date of reporting to the Institution, and if the convicted person does not voluntarily report for serving their prison sentence and if their escort by the court police is unsuccessful.
Therefore, only then are the conditions met for issuing an arrest warrant for the convicted person. The public will be informed in a timely manner about other information in the mentioned case when the conditions are met - they concluded.
