Court of BiH confirms indictment against Vojin Pavlović for approving genocide during July 11th

(Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has filed an indictment against Vojin Pavlović, born in 1976 in Bratunac, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, against whom another criminal proceeding is underway before the Court of BiH.

The accused is charged with, in the period from June to July 12, 2023, in the area of Srebrenica and Bratunac, during the commemoration of July 11, 2023, and the burial of genocide victims in the municipality of Srebrenica, as the president of the management board of the Association "Istočna Alternativa" (Eastern Alternative) of Republika Srpska, knowingly and willingly approving the commission of the criminal offense of genocide, displaying posters that publicly approve and attempt to justify the crime established by final verdicts of the ICTY and the Court of BiH.

The indictment states that the accused approved and attempted to justify the crime of genocide by organizing a public gathering, making posters for the gathering publicly available, and then delivering a speech at the gathering itself, which approves and attempts to justify the crime of genocide established by final verdicts of the ICTY and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thereby committing the criminal offense of inciting national, racial, and religious hatred, discord, and intolerance under Article 145a, paragraphs 3 and 4, in conjunction with paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
 
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation, which confirmed it.
