Court of BiH accepts that Dodik replaces prison sentence with a fine, must pay 36,500 KM

(Patria) - Due to increased public interest and the need for accurate and timely information, the Court of BiH issued the following statement.

"Deciding on the request of the defense of convicted Milorad Dodik to replace the imposed prison sentence with a fine, the Court, in accordance with legal regulations, issued a decision whereby, after the statement of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, the aforementioned defense proposal was accepted, and the prison sentence imposed on convicted Milorad Dodik was replaced with a fine," the Court of BiH announced.

Given that it is a one-year prison sentence, Dodik is obliged to pay 36,500 KM.

Regarding the ban on performing duties financed from public funds, the CEC revoked Dodik's mandate as President of Republika Srpska, and his defense filed an appeal with the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH. The deadline for a decision is three days.
