BiH Court Orders One-Month Detention for Three Lijanovićs, Bahilj, and Others

The BiH Court has decided to impose one-month detention on seven suspects in the "Brend" case, including the current Deputy Prime Minister of the FBiH, Vice-President of NSRzB, and Minister of Agriculture, Water Management, and Forestry Jerko Ivanković Lijanović, as well as his brothers Jozo and Slavo, avaz.ba reported, as relayed by the Patria agency.

This was confirmed by Lijanović's lawyer Davor Šilić. He stated that the Court granted the BiH Prosecutor's Office's request to order detention for the Federal Minister of Trade, otherwise an NSRzB cadre, Milorad Bahilj, as well as Jozo Slišković, Mirjana Šakota, and Mirko Galić. They are accused of organized crime, within which criminal offenses of tax evasion, fraud, money laundering, and destruction of business documentation worth more than 11 million KM were committed.

We remind you that in the SIPA "Brend" operation and the BiH Prosecutor's Office "Meso" operation on September 10, the Lijanović brothers, Bahilj, and other suspects for these criminal offenses were arrested. Yesterday, Mladen Ivanković Lijanović, President of NSRzB, who already started his election campaign in Tuzla today, was released.
