Court of BiH approves warrant for Galić and orders detention, Interpol now searching for him

(Patria) - The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina ordered detention for fugitive SIPA Deputy Director Zoran Galić and decided to issue an Interpol warrant.

These documents, via the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, go to Interpol headquarters, which should add the warrant for Zoran Galić, who is in Croatia, to its database of red notices early next week, Istraga reported.

On the other hand, BiH institutions have still not dismissed Galić from the position of SIPA Deputy Director. If they do not do so by next week, BiH will become a country that keeps in office a man who has been unavailable to BiH judicial authorities for the second month to answer for the criminal offenses he is charged with.

Three individuals arrested in the same operation in which Galić was supposed to be apprehended are in custody.

The Council of Ministers of BiH has still not relieved Galić of his duties, apparently because there is no legal expert who would enable a lawful dismissal of Galić without further damaging the budget of BiH institutions.

Galić, through his lawyers, requested voluntary dismissal due to meeting the conditions for retirement, effective from the day he fled BiH.
