Court of BiH rejects defense's appeal to move Milorad Dodik's trial to Banja Luka

(Patria) - The Appellate Panel of the Court of BiH rejected the appeal of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik's defense against this institution's decision to refuse the transfer of the proceedings to the competent court in Banja Luka, confirmed for BHT1 his lawyer Goran Bubić.

As previously planned, in the Court of BiH's calendar, the hearing in the case against Dodik and the acting director of the Official Gazette of Republika Srpska, Miloš Lukić, is scheduled for December 20.

The defense's request to transfer the proceedings was previously rejected by the Pre-Trial Panel, shortly before the originally scheduled main hearing.

Milorad Dodik and Miloš Lukić are accused of having, from July 1 to 9 this year in Banja Luka, knowingly and being aware that the High Representative Christian Schmidt had made a decision preventing the Law on Non-Application of Decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH from entering into force, undertaken official actions in order to continue the legislative procedure.
