The past policies of convicted war criminals have led to destruction, killing, genocide, and the disintegration of the state of BiH itself. Even after 19 years, we are still searching for the bones of our children. All of this is their policy, said Munira Subašić, president of the Association "Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa" for the BiH news agency Patria. She said this in response to the initiative by dr. Mustafa Cerić, a candidate for the Bosniak member of the Presidency of BiH, to legally ban war criminals from political activity.
She also stated that the release of war criminals after serving two-thirds of their sentence, as is the case with Dario Kordić and Momčilo Krajišnik, resembles a secret release because such decisions are announced late.
Regarding dr. Cerić's candidacy, Subašić said that everyone has the right to run.
- Everyone has the right to be president. We will see what people offer, what their programs are, and in the end, we will choose the best. We respect all Bosnians and Herzegovinians and will decide based on the quality of the programs they offer – Subašić told NAP.
