Students of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies of the University of Sarajevo visited the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies

(Patria) - Students of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies of the University of Sarajevo visited the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH today.

During the visit, students were introduced to the organizational structure of the Directorate, as well as its legal competencies, and its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Among other things, they were also informed about the work of the Sector for International Operational Police Cooperation, through which the Directorate cooperates with other countries, and the modalities of information exchange through channels such as INTERPOL, EUROPOL, SELEC, etc.

Also, they were presented with how the protection and security of VIP persons and facilities function. Students had the opportunity to visit the Directorate's Operations Center and to familiarize themselves with the modern tools used by the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, such as the video surveillance system and the digital radio communication system.

On this occasion, a tactical demonstration exercise of the Sector for Security of VIP Persons and Facilities was organized for the students on the topic of 'Protection of VIP Persons', during which tactics for handling cases of attacks on protected persons were demonstrated.

Guests from the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies of the University of Sarajevo thanked for the reception and the presentations, emphasizing that the acquired knowledge will be of great benefit to them in mastering the learning process and understanding the role and significance of the Directorate in the security system of BiH, as well as in their future professional orientation.
