Students of the Faculty of Philosophy to recite poetry about Sarajevo today

(Patria) - The city of Sarajevo will mark this year's April 6 with an interesting performance that will affirm Bosnian-Herzegovinian literary creativity. Students of the Faculty of Philosophy will today, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at several locations in the old and central parts of Sarajevo – from Sebilj to the BBI Center, recite poetry by contemporary and older Bosnian-Herzegovinian poets. The selected verses will mostly concern the city of Sarajevo.

During this time, flyers with the name of the city of Sarajevo, written in all five Bosnian scripts: two contemporary – Latin and Cyrillic, and three traditional – Glagolitic, Bosančica, and Arebica, will be distributed, all with the aim of promoting the richness of cultural diversity of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The program has been designed in cooperation with the Association of Writers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Department of Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, as well as with the Institute for Language of the University of Sarajevo.
