(Patria) - Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Lord Stuart Peach is on a two-day visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, demonstrating the United Kingdom's continued commitment to the security, stability and prosperity of the country, the British Embassy in BiH announced.
During the visit, Lord Peach will meet with a range of interlocutors to discuss economic, political and security issues. Highlighting the central importance of a secure environment, key to broader social and economic development, Lord Peach will also meet with those providing security support across the country.
Emphasising the United Kingdom's commitment to renewable energy and Bosnia and Herzegovina's green transition, he will join local experts and officials in a discussion on the potential for greater progress towards a green future.
Lord Peach also plans to meet with war veterans from three former armies that fought in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are working to build greater understanding between communities and support the reconciliation process across the country.
Peach and Ambassador Julian Reilly visited Brčko today, where they toured the company Bimal.
The UK supported a study on the energy transition of the Brčko District that could unlock energy security, more affordable energy prices and faster economic development. With Lord Peach, we toured the company Bimal, a potential key leader in the energy transition in the District. pic.twitter.com/ZRcnko76p4
