Expert from BiH appointed for the first time as a member of the technical committee for the cardiopulmonary system

Lecturer BURCH University in Sarajevo, Assistant Professor Dr. Almir Badnjević, has been appointed as a member of the technical committee for cardiopulmonary systems, as the only representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina ever, announced from BURCH, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The tasks of the technical committee for the cardiopulmonary system, headquartered in Germany, are the promotion of research and education, as it relates to the application of engineering methodologies to the cardiovascular and respiratory system, leadership and advice on technical issues related to cardiopulmonary systems, encouraging the development and organization of high-quality technical programs on topics related to the cardiovascular system and respiratory organs, improving the quality and number of publications related to cardiopulmonary systems in EMBS journals, and providing technical guidance in development, special issues on topics from the same field, and fostering cooperation with other major societies focusing on the physiology and clinical aspect of the cardiovascular, respiratory, and regulatory systems. 

Thus, Badnjević found himself among nineteen eminent names in the world in this field and placed BiH in the same rank as Japan, the USA, Germany, Australia, Italy, and Spain. 

The candidates for the technical committee were strictly selected based on their references, professional and academic contributions in this field, as well as their ability to manage, develop, and make decisions in this area, reports Patria.
