Strategic cooperation of Novalić's cadres with partners from RS to the detriment of companies from the Federation

It is well known that the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić and his business partner, also the Minister of Energy and Mining of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nermin Džindić, are striving to completely take over the defense industry in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to achieve this goal they do not choose methods or means. In addition to placing their close relatives and associates in leading positions in factories, companies, and state bodies responsible for the defense industry, they are replacing successful managers who have brought the largest contracts to our factories and who are responsible for their revitalization and survival, writes the Patria news agency.

SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović recently stated in Velika Kladuša that "the coalition of SDA and SBB exists, and SBB ministers work diligently, SDA ministers work diligently, a similar situation is with parliamentarians."

We are not sure that SBB and Fahrudin Radončić share Izetbegović's assessments. However, judging by the decisions of the Federation Government, for which SBB ministers regularly vote, especially those by which Prime Minister Novalić and his loyal SBB minister Nermin Džindić are building infrastructure for a kind of "public-private" partnership for long-term control of the defense industry, Izetbegović's assessments of the functioning of the coalition have their foundation.

However, seeing exclusively personal and financial interest in the defense industry, the aforementioned duo does not shy away from entering into business arrangements with suspicious partners from the Republika Srpska, even if it is to the detriment of companies from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for which every job is of key importance for survival on the market.

In this regard, Almira Zulić Burek, director of the factory "Pretis" d.d. Vogošća, otherwise a proven cadre of Novalić and Džindić, concluded a contract for the purchase of 2,500 crates for mortar ammunition with the company "Invest Gradnja" d.o.o. Pale, the value of which amounts to about 200,000 KM.

There would be nothing strange about this if the same crates could not be purchased from companies in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, even those where the Federation Government is the majority owner, such as "TRZ Hadžići" d.d. Hadžići. However, as an argument for purchasing crates from Pale, the director cites purely economic arguments. Namely, the crates from Pale are cheaper by 1 KM per piece, so "Pretis" thus achieved savings of about 2,500 KM?!

Thus, for Novalić and Džindić, 2,500 KM is more important than the progress of companies and factories owned by the Federation Government. It is interesting to note that the aforementioned company from Pale, according to information from the Business Register of the Republika Srpska, has only two employees.

The close ties and interests of Novalić and Džindić with Almira Zulić Burek are also evidenced by the fact that within the premises of the factory "Pretis" d.d. Vogošća, there is also the company "Termo Metal Resist" (TMR) d.o.o. Sarajevo, otherwise Novalić and Džindić's joint company, which is one of the suppliers of the factory "Pretis". Almir Zulić, the brother of the director of "Pretis", was an advisor to Nermin Džindić, and recently was appointed to the position of director of the company TTU Energetik d.o.o. Tuzla.

This company is the successor of the once successful Factory of Transport Equipment (TTU) Tuzla, the backbone of the metal industry of Tuzla Canton, which ended up in bankruptcy. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TTU when this factory was being destroyed and brought to ruin was precisely Fadil Novalić!

We remind you, the latest Novalić and Džindić "joint venture" is the takeover of the state company Unis Group, a trading house for arms and military equipment, whose director Damir Vejo has in the past year contracted and signed contracts with foreign partners worth about 70 million KM, while in the previous 8 years the same company realized only 27 million KM.
