Party of BiH: The "Trojka" is leading the country to an abyss with compromises made to Čović and Dodik

(Patria) - The Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SBiH) held a session of its Main Board in Sarajevo today.

Eight conclusions related to the current political situation in BiH were adopted at the meeting. Here are the conclusions.

1. The Party of BiH believes that the verdict in the "Kovačević" case, following a series of other judgments by the European Court of Human Rights, was a historic opportunity to abolish discrimination and ensure respect for the European Convention on Human Rights, which is an integral part of the BiH Constitution, and that the decision of the BiH Council of Ministers to appeal the verdict is a blow to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

By filing an appeal against the verdict, the BiH Council of Ministers has agreed to participate in the efforts of Croatia and other actors who are keeping the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina outside European standards.

The greatest responsibility for this attempt to undermine a historic opportunity for the future of democracy in our country lies with the "Trojka" parties, which allowed an appeal against the verdict to be filed in the name of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through BiH representatives whose official actions in Strasbourg were carried out within the framework of the BiH Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees;

2. By canceling the Summit of Western Balkan Leaders in Neum, the ruling coalition has damaged the reputation of BiH.

The responsibility for disgracing the country lies solely with the BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmedin Konaković, and the Chairwoman of the BiH Council of Ministers, Borjana Krišto.

It is particularly indicative that the tender for the organization of the Summit was awarded to Konaković's best man. We call on the competent judicial institutions to investigate irregularities in the procedure for selecting the Summit organizer and to sanction those responsible;

3. The "Trojka" is leading the country to an abyss with compromises made to Čović and Dodik. Today, we have a huge imbalance in the filling of state institutions and leadership positions within these institutions, to the detriment of one and to the benefit of the other two constituent peoples.

The constitutional and legal principle of proportional representation of constituent peoples and others in leadership positions and within institutions has been completely devastated and violated.

Bosniaks have been disadvantaged by about 1,000 positions, while Serbs and Croats have that many more positions compared to the number they are entitled to according to the Constitution and valid laws.

All positions are filled from the personnel bases of SNSD and HDZ, and therefore it becomes even clearer why the state is dysfunctional, and most often paralyzed in performing its basic functions.

The most recent example of the "Trojka's" concession is the recent appointment of Miro Džakula, an HDZ cadre, as the director of Elektroprijenos BiH, even though the HDZ's director Mato Žarić had held this important position since 2013.

When Zoran Tegeltija from SNSD is appointed director of the Indirect Taxation Authority, the "Trojka" leaders justify it by the so-called principle of rotation in key positions.

We publicly ask the "Trojka" representatives in the BiH Council of Ministers, who vote for all these decisions, where is the principle of rotation now in the process of appointing the director of Elektroprijenos BiH;



4. The decision of the Government of the Federation of BiH to form new offices of the Deputy Prime Minister with headquarters in Sarajevo and Mostar represents the peak of the authorities' arrogance towards citizens, as it entails new costs at the expense of the federal budget, which is in serious deficit.

The Main Board of SBiH demands that the Prime Minister annul the Decision. This is a very dangerous political message and leads to further weakening of the institutional system;

5. We consider the statement by the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Goran Jandroković, "that without the principle of constitutiveness, there will be no BiH either," a serious threat.

We call on the PIC states to react, as the threat comes from the highest official of the Republic of Croatia, which is a signatory to the Dayton Peace Agreement.

To Jandroković, who is taking on Tuđman's role, which ended ingloriously, we say that BiH has defeated such policies and will continue to do so in the future;

6. It is unacceptable that the repair of the railway line in Jablanica has only begun two months after the floods.

Who will compensate the daily losses of KM 280,000 and compensate businessmen for the damage, and who will be held accountable for inaction and failure to act in accordance with the obligations of government bodies in emergency situations?

Given the enormous damages caused by the inaction of federal government bodies, which declared a state of natural disaster, it is necessary to determine criminal responsibility in the chain of responsible parties who have thus damaged public enterprises, the economy, and citizens by millions.

The entire system has failed, and the price of negligence and inaction has been paid by the economy and citizens;



7. The Main Board expresses dissatisfaction with the work of Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, who has indebted the Federation of BiH by almost 900 million marks. In the coming year, it is difficult to expect any progress.

Citizens deserve a government that will deal with issues of vital interest, implement economic and social reforms, build infrastructure, strengthen the rule of law, and fight corruption;

8. The results of the 2024 Local Elections were discussed at the Main Board session. The Party of BiH won two mayoral seats and 83 councilor mandates, and is represented in 38 municipalities. It has the most votes in four city municipalities and will have councilors in the City Council of Sarajevo.

Guidelines were also given for strengthening the party's infrastructure so that the Party can face the General Elections better prepared, all with the aim of advancing the country.
