Party of BiH: The Troika are accomplices in the downfall of the Kovačević case

(Patria) - The Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been warning for months about the fact that the Troika is absolutely helping HDZ BiH and Plenković's government in overturning the verdict in the Kovačević case, it is stated in the party's reaction.

"However, only after the lobbying succeeded in overturning this verdict, did the Troika members publicly start attacking Kovačević, claiming that his appeal was manipulative, unserious, etc. Some have gone as far as demanding Kovačević's resignation," it is emphasized.

The Party of BiH states: "According to them, it turns out that Kovačević is solely to blame for the downfall of the appeal that the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg had previously accepted and ruled in his favor, and not the coalition partners within the Troika who participated in its downfall by illegally extending the mandate of HDZ agents in Strasbourg".

"According to them, the problem is that Kovačević also has Croatian citizenship, while it is not a problem that all members and officials of HDZ, with whom they are in coalition, have it. Thus, the experts from the Troika believe that the rights of only certain citizens of BiH cease to exist if they have dual citizenship. Probably those citizens who are politically inconvenient for them! But the essence is completely different, and in this context, the only thing that matters is that Kovačević is still a citizen of BiH and as such is discriminated against exactly as established by the first-instance verdict," stated the Party of BiH.

They concluded: "Ultimately, citizens must know that thanks to the lobbying of the Government of Croatia, supported by domestic immature politicians and their coalition partners from HDZ, discrimination against certain citizens of BiH, such as Pilav, Sejdić, Finci, Kovačević, and others, remains in force in our country."
