Party of BiH: We demand Nikšić annul decisions on establishing new offices and stop hiring party members

(Patria) - The Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina demands that the federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić stop new hirings in the Government of the Federation of BiH, which are planned for the near future.

"We believe that the Decision of the FBiH Government on establishing new offices for two deputy prime ministers represents the peak of arrogance of this government towards the citizens, as it entails new costs at the expense of the federal budget, which is in serious deficit.

Instead of cuts, Nikšić invents new decrees and hires new advisors. The job description of the person who will sit in the new office, which the Government Decree calls the Prime Minister's Office, is already being performed by people in the prime minister's team, who have filled the quota for the number of advisors. The same applies to the second position, the responsibilities of the deputy prime minister's office based in Mostar.

It is evident that these positions are designed to employ as many party members or relatives as possible in an already bloated administration. The question that arises is why an office is needed in Mostar if the seat of the Federal Government is in Sarajevo, or if that office is designed to visit Čović more often. This is a very dangerous political message, considering the years-long continuous struggle of the HDZ leader for a "third entity". Every move made by the so-called "Trojka" is increasingly dangerous for BiH and Bosniaks.

The fact that this government is recklessly spending budget money, while citizens' trust in their work is at a very low level, is confirmed by the amount of income that new employees in the FBiH Government will receive. The basic salary of an advisor is 2,464 KM, to which is added a meal allowance, and they can receive up to 600 marks for living separately. Nikšić's "democratic step forward" will cost us hundreds of thousands of marks annually, not including travel at the state's expense, daily allowances, mobile phone costs...

It is devastating that the FBiH Government is proceeding with new hirings while more than half of the citizens with low wages live on the brink of existence.

In circumstances where pensioners are given 50 and 100 KM in one-time aid, and young people leave because they have no jobs and because wages are low, such a Decision is shameful, to say the least. SBiH demands that the FBiH Government annul the decision on establishing new offices and hirings and provide the public with accurate data on how many advisors are currently employed in the FBiH Government, starting from the prime minister to the ministers, and to publish data on how much money from the budget this costs the citizens of this country annually. If this does not happen, we demand the dismissal of the prime minister due to his persistent attempt to embezzle budget money", the Party of BiH announced.
