Party of BiH calls on KS Government led by Uk to resign collectively

(Patria) - The Cantonal Board of the Party of BiH Sarajevo called on the KS Government to resign collectively, given all the destruction they are causing to the KS budget.

"We have continuously warned that this KS Government is continuously producing a budget deficit, and this accumulated deficit will reach approximately 400 million KM as of December 31, 2025.

To clarify, the realized revenues from January to July 28, 2025, amount to 737.9 million KM. Based on these realized revenues for the first seven months, the realization of budget revenues by the end of 2025 will be approximately 1,150,000,000 KM.

The total planned expenditures in the KS budget for 2025 amount to 1,880,000,000 KM. The difference is more than 700 million KM.

What should be known is that only three budget items in expenditures account for one billion KM (salaries and employee compensation costs, employer contributions and other contributions, expenses for materials, small inventory, and services).

According to the data on budget inflows and expenditures that will be realized, the estimated deficit for 2025 will be up to 250 million KM.

When we add the realized deficit as of December 31, 2024, in the amount of 170 million KM to this amount, we will get an accumulated budget deficit of approximately 400 million KM as of December 31, 2025.

The question arises as to what else needs to happen for the KS Government to realize that it is leading the KS budget into an abyss and causing irreparable damage to all budget users and citizens of KS," emphasize the Cantonal Board of the Party of BiH Sarajevo.

They also note that the Canton of Sarajevo budget was in surplus as of 2022.

"At the same time, the KS Government has brought the KS budget to the maximum legal credit indebtedness, and has also launched a public call for credit indebtedness of 90 million KM to cover the budget deficit," state the Party of BiH Sarajevo.

They also emphasize that the Canton of Sarajevo is more indebted than all other cantons combined.

"Finally, we once again call on the Government of the Canton of Sarajevo, with Prime Minister Uk at its head, to withdraw with dignity from their positions, because the continuation of destructive management of the KS Government will lead the canton and all its users into a hopeless situation.

The current situation requires a government of experts who would lead the Canton of Sarajevo towards financial consolidation, along with interventions in the operations of public utility companies," said the Cantonal Board of the Party of BiH Sarajevo.
