The protest "Sarajevo – To the Metropolises of the World for Aleppo and Syria" began with citizens gathering on the plateau in front of the BBI Center at 3 PM. The goal of this gathering, organized by cultural associations, civil society organizations, the academic community, and religious communities in BiH, is to support the residents of Syria, especially the city of Aleppo, and to call on residents of European and world metropolises to join the active global campaign #StandWithAleppo, writes Patria.
On behalf of HKD "Napredak", Mato Zovkić explained that the initiative came from the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in BiH, which also asked representatives of other religious communities to join. He emphasized that they gladly responded and that it is time for peace to be established in the world.
Syrians living in BiH are also attending the rally. They say that the world has abandoned them.
