Stolac: The deceased are still on the voter list, HDZ is filling out ballots from abroad

Ivan Perić is most to blame for all the irregularities and omissions with the voter lists in Stolac, which still include over 350 deceased people. Instead of removing them from the voter list, which he was supposed to do by August 18 according to the legal deadline, Perić is only formally and falsely covering himself by saying that he has sent corrections to the Registry Office, writes the Patria News Agency. 

And in the Registry Office, Mayor Stjepan Bošković, who is Perić's boss or Perić is more likely his subordinate, calls the shots. Thus, Mayor Perić throws Perić's letter to the Registry Office in the trash, Perić remains clean because he intervened, but the deceased remain on the voter list and vote for HDZ and Mayor Bošković, as has been the practice for the past 12 years during Bošković's three terms.

Furthermore, due to the established obvious irregularities with the voting of voters abroad, there are sufficient arguments to hold the president of the Election Commission of Stolac, Perić, criminally responsible, and some associations of returnees from Stolac are also announcing the possibility of filing criminal charges. Here's the catch.

Namely, these are voters who vote abroad and who are actually in Austria, Italy, or Germany, and their ballots are simply sent to Zagreb, Split, or Dubrovnik, where HDZ activists stationed in Croatian cities receive this mail, open the mail, fill out the ballots, forge the signatures of the people to whom the mail is addressed, seal the envelopes with the vote marked for HDZ and Mayor Bošković, and return the mail to the Central Election Commission (CIK).

The candidate for mayor of Stolac, Salmir Kaplan, has also presented this evidence to the CIK, and now it is up to the CIK and its president to react to the report and open proceedings. According to reliable information, over 40 such votes from Croatia have already been sent to the CIK.
