Stolac – a city where lawyers, economists, and visionaries are born

While preparing a political speech for an election rally in Stolac, I asked a respected agronomist, "What grows best in Stolac?" And he told me that in Stolac, everything that is sown grows. "Engineers, lawyers, economists are born here too... An honest politician and visionary was born here, a new member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and his name is Martin Raguž!" - said the holder of the list for the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Dr. Diana Zelenika, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

A delegation of HDZ 1990, led by president Martin Raguž, paid a day-long visit to Stolac.

The visit began with a holy mass in the Stolac parish of Prenj, which celebrates its patron saint, St. Michael the Archangel, tomorrow, and at the end of the holy mass, a parade of cultural and artistic societies was held, presenting the traditions of our regions.

After the cultural and entertainment program, the delegation of HDZ 1990 laid a wreath, lit candles, and paid tribute to all victims of the past war.

The packed hall of Villa Ragusa in Stolac was a sight that sent a message that Stolac has decided to draw a line and support Martin Raguž and HDZ 1990.

The magnificent rally, at which HDZ 1990 presented its program and candidates for the upcoming elections, began with the intonation of anthems and a minute of silence.

On behalf of the hosts, the rally was addressed by the president of the Municipal Board of Stolac HDZ 1990, Boris Obradović, who warmly welcomed all attendees, thanking them for coming. Obradović pointed to the worrying economic, industrial, and demographic situation of this region and called on those present to go to the polls and punish the policies that have brought this region into this unenviable position.

- A message to everyone: "The only choice for a better and fairer Bosnia and Herzegovina is Martin Raguž" - a very inspiring message from the Secretary-General of HDZ 1990 and the holder of the list for the Cantonal Assembly of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Ilija Cvitanović, addressed the audience, saying that it is time to draw a line and put an end to the policies that have brought this city, as well as the canton, into a situation where the greatest success is to buy a one-way ticket and, "for the sake of survival", head towards some European destination.

- It is time to draw a line and build a new and better Stolac! - presenting the list of HDZ 1990, said the holder of the list for the Federal Parliament, Dr. Zdravko Kuzman, characterizing it as a combination of knowledge, experience, and youth.

- It is time to establish the values of our Stolac in Mostar, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Brussels. It is time to valorize our values, because we have something to be proud of! - concluded Dr. Kuzman.

Greeted with thunderous applause, candidate for member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Martin Raguž, came before the numerous citizens of Stolac.

- This is our land - our history is condensed here. Therefore, let us be responsible and not give up so easily on our historical regions of Plehan, Fojnica, Kraljeva Sutjeska, Radimlja, as well as all other beautiful regions of our country - said President Raguž, emphasizing that it is time for a better and more responsible policy that is ready to face problems and stop the exodus and displacement from our areas.

- HDZ 1990 does not want to "hold a candle" to various policies that announce secession from Banja Luka! - said Raguž, stating that it is time for responsible policies that will be part of the solution, not the source of the problem. –

The vision of HDZ 1990, as well as my personal vision, sees Bosnia and Herzegovina as a European, modern, progressive, employed country of ours - said Raguž, emphasizing that the people have the power to choose such a Bosnia and Herzegovina through the ballot box.

"There is only one of this country, and a hundred of others," were the words of the HDZ 1990 song with which this magnificent rally concluded.
