100 years since Sirotanović's birth: Competition in fast coal loading in Breza

On the occasion of the jubilee 100 years since the birth of the hero of labor, shock worker Alija Sirotanović, RMU Breza is organizing a competition in fast coal loading, writes the Patria News Agency.

Otherwise, the fastest competitor will be awarded a symbolic prize, a ton of coal, and the competition will be held tomorrow starting at 6 PM at Trg rudara Breza.

- All adult citizens can participate in the competition. During the competition, participants will be required to wear a miner's helmet, a belt with a lamp, and use a "omladinka" shovel - say the organizers.

Also, on the occasion of this jubilee, an academy will be held tomorrow at the City Library in Breza, where the life and work of Alija Sirotanović will be presented through historical facts and the words of contemporaries.

Before that, a march "On Alija Sirotanović's Path" will be organized, with departure planned for 3 PM from in front of RMU Breza. The column will move to Alija Sirotanović's house in the village of Trtorići, where flowers will be laid and tribute paid. The return to Breza is planned by bus.
