Stjepan Bošković remains Mayor of Stolac

Stjepan Bošković (HDZ BiH) remains Mayor of Stolac, according to the results of the repeated elections held in this municipality, after they were interrupted on October 2nd due to a series of incidents, writes Patria.

Out of 7,566 voters who exercised their right to vote today, slightly more than 4,000 voted for Bošković, while the other candidate Mato Komšić (SDF) received 2,904. There were 320 invalid ballots. 

The Initiative for Stolac called on Bosniaks today to go to the polls and cast their vote for Komšić, given that the CEC removed Salmir Kaplan from the list.

This is Bošković's fourth term. He was first elected in 2004 for a four-year term, as well as in the 2008 and 2012 elections. He graduated in electrical engineering in 1997 from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb.
