(Patria) - President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nenad Stevandić has called for today in Banja Luka a meeting of the presidents of all parliamentary parties based in the Republic of Srpska that have deputies in the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, on the topic of the 'Election Law of the Republic of Srpska'.
Regarding the adoption of the election law of the Republic of Srpska, Stevandić said on Wednesday, January 3, that it is grounded in the Constitution of the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina and that there are no legal obstacles to its adoption, and that it will not be a subject of major dispute.
- It is important that we agreed to invite all representatives of all political parties, both in power and opposition, that have deputies in the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska to sit down on January 8, well before the law would be adopted, to discuss this topic - Stevandić told reporters.
The Republic of Srpska will create its own election law, which envisions that the entity itself conducts municipal and republic-level elections, said Milorad Dodik, president of this BiH entity and leader of the SNSD, after a meeting with the presidents of parties that are in the ruling coalition at the RS level.
