Stevandić claims: They planned to demolish the Assembly, I had to remove Ranko Mišić

The Vice-President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić, stated today that he would have violated the law if he had not ordered the removal of the President of the Trade Union Association of RS, Ranko Mišić, from the hall during last night's parliamentary session, reports the Patria News Agency.
 

After a turbulent parliamentary session, Stevandić reiterated that the trade union leader was allowed to address the deputies from the parliamentary podium and present her stance on the Labour Law, but instead, she disrupted the work of the parliament, which forced him to order the parliamentary security to remove her from the parliamentary hall.

Responding to a question about whether he would apologize to Mišić, Stevandić said that he could only express deep regret for having to take such a step, emphasizing that his decision was fully in line with the parliamentary rules of procedure and laws.

At today's press conference, Stevandić warned that they had information that a scenario was prepared for incidents and fighting in the parliamentary hall, which would have forced the parliamentary leadership to take unpopular measures.

– We also had information that there might be an attempt by demonstrators to enter the hall and demolish the parliament, similar to the burning of the assembly in Belgrade. However, yesterday, all those who, using the labor law as an excuse, wanted such scenes to occur, experienced a debacle – said Stevandić.

He asserted that the adopted labor law is far better than the one in FBiH and Croatia and is "slightly less favorable to workers compared to the one in Serbia.", writes banjaluka.net.
