Damage to road and railway infrastructure exceeds 27 million euros

At today's session of the FBiH Government, information on flood damage was discussed, and the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications informed the FBiH Government about the first rough estimate that the damage caused by floods and landslides to road and railway infrastructure exceeds 27 million euros, reports NAP.

The total estimated amount of damage to railways, including construction and electrical works, amounts to 9,869,254 euros. Damage to main roads is estimated at 16,911,000 euros, of which 2,121,000 euros are for intervention works, and 14,790,000 euros are for the reconstruction of landslides and facilities.

The FBiH Government has tasked the federal ministries to review their incentive programs by the next session to see how much funds have been directed to the flooded areas.

The Government has tasked the Federal Civil Protection Administration to send oil and petroleum products from commodity reserves to returnees in the flooded areas of Republika Srpska, in accordance with the priorities to be determined by a special commission of the Federal Government.

Among other things, the FBiH Government adopted the Decision on the adoption of the Program for the expenditure of 65,800,000 convertible marks with criteria for the distribution of funds "Incentives for Agriculture" determined by the FBiH Budget for 2014 to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, titled "From Our Field to Our Table".

The Program has been approved by the competent committees for agriculture, water management and forestry of both houses of the FBiH Parliament, and it will be operational after the Rulebook on the allocation of funds to beneficiaries is completed. Control during the production phase in the field of potential beneficiaries, as well as during the collection and processing of documentation, and before submitting the application to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, will be carried out by competent cantonal agricultural inspectors, or authorized officials of cantonal ministries, authorized officials of the Federal Ministry and the federal agricultural inspection, in order to ensure the dedicated use of funds.

A Decision on the formation of a Commission for the supervision of the realization of agricultural incentives was also adopted. Stipo Šakić, Ivica Mladina, Marko Musić, as representatives of the FBiH Government, have been appointed to the Commission, and agricultural associations in FBiH will appoint their two representatives.
