Šteta tested the new track on the Čengić Vila - Baščaršija route, will the 'trojka' tram be operational from next month?

(Patria) -After almost a year of work on the reconstruction of the Sarajevo track from Čengić Vila to Marijin Dvor, a test drive was conducted this morning on the Čengić Vila Baščaršija route.

The Minister of Transport of KS, Adnan Šteta, also took a ride on the tram, and according to announcements, after the completion of the works, the "trojka" will soon be carrying passengers again.

When that happens, the citizens of Sarajevo will have trams available on the entire section of the track, for the first time since August 2021.

The branches towards the Railway Station and Skenderija still need to be completed, so everything could be finished next month.

It should be noted that new trams are also expected along with the new track.
