Šteta lectured his party comrades: SDP is stronger than any individual, you have forgotten the opportunities you were given

(Patria) - President of the SDP BiH Sarajevo Cantonal Committee Adnan Šteta addressed the public on social media today. Although he did not mention names or specific events, it is clear that he was referring to what is happening within the SDP Sarajevo Cantonal Committee, especially in several municipal organizations.

After his address, some will clearly see the light, and others will be disappointed. Šteta's address came at a time when 27 members of the SDP Novi Grad Municipal Board, who have resigned, addressed the public with a letter, opposing the takeover of this municipal organization by Abel Baltić and Damir Hadžić from the shadows.

Šteta publicly stated that he will not wallow in political mud, nor will he pull anyone out of it.

He says that the SDP is a party with over 120 years of tradition and is stronger than any individual.

"It is especially stronger than individuals who hide their idleness with empty talk about others and a neighborhood approach to politics, and who unfortunately, at some point, were given an opportunity and became an example of poor personnel solutions.
Many forget the importance of the SDP in their lives, how the SDP accepted them, what opportunities it offered them, and what they have done and are doing to the SDP. Let everyone find themselves, because while you were attacking the SDP, you lost your way and ultimately lost yourselves. The SDP has lost nothing, nor is it losing.

About myself and the organization I lead, I read and hear all sorts of things, sometimes it's a bit tiring, because one would have to respond to different stories every day, and I don't really have time for such things. Unlike many within the SDP, but also in other parties, I have never dealt with gossip, I have worked.

However, be sure that you will not succeed in the intentions you have devised in your small circles of like-minded people, you will not succeed in undermining a tradition that is above all individuals and interest groups. Many before you did not succeed, and many after you will not either. Because - there are not many of you, you are just trying to be loud.

Our decision was that we will never wallow in political mud, neither with you nor with anyone else. Nor will we pull anyone out of the mud. You have chosen your own interests, we will always choose the interests of the community.

We are aware that the Sarajevo SDP bothers many, we are aware that we have achieved a lot solely through our work, and everyone should be aware that we will protect all the values of social democracy, work in the interest of citizens, and perhaps we will not be louder than the idle, but we will loudly respond to all false accusations against the hardworking people who protect the reputation of our SDP and we will continue to be vocal in bringing about positive changes.

As the president of the organization that had the largest growth in the last elections among all SDP organizations, I am proud of everything we have done and will do. I am proud that there are many hardworking people who represent the Sarajevo SDP at all levels of government in accordance with the principles and tenets of social democracy, who have proven how to defend the state, the city, and the party. A large number of citizens have recognized this, people who want to join SDP BiH Sarajevo, who want to bring change to the community with their knowledge and work. Our doors will continue to be open to all who live social democracy and who place the interests of citizens above their personal interests.

I offer support for all processes led by the President of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić together with his associates, and I am convinced that precisely this way of leading processes will bring great benefits to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Sarajevo SDP will continue to grow, which we will demonstrate once again in this year's elections", stated Šteta.
