Štefica Galić awarded one of the most important journalistic awards in Germany

MOSTAR, (Patria) - Editor-in-chief of the portal Tačno.net from Mostar, Štefica Galić, is the recipient of the Johan Philipp Palm Award for Freedom of Speech in 2018.

The journalist and human rights activist has earned one of the most prestigious journalistic awards in Germany through her work and public engagement in the field of human rights activism, reports the Patria agency.

In addition to Štefica Galić, the award was also given to radio journalist Josephine Achiro Fortelo from South Sudan.

The award is named after Johann Philipp Palm, a German literary publisher and freedom fighter who was killed in the early 19th century during Napoleon's conquests by direct order of the French commander Napoleon Bonaparte.
