(Patria) - After the Regulatory Commission for Energy of FBiH (FERK) rejected the initial request of Elektroprivreda BiH for an electricity price increase, i.e., the introduction of a three-tariff model, a new request has arrived for a linear price increase for households and other consumers.
FERK is meeting today, and at the very beginning of the session, scheduled to start at 2 PM at FERK's headquarters in Mostar, the Proposal of prices for supplying end customers by the public supplier JP Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. Sarajevo will be considered.
Elektroprivreda BiH previously stated that the linear price increase proposal was developed with careful consideration of current economic and market conditions, and aims to achieve a balance between the need to ensure the sustainability of the system and the operational readiness of electricity generation facilities.
The proposed percentage of the linear increase, determined after reviewing the rejected price model, is 10% for households and 8.1% for other consumption at 0.4 kV, including energy and network fees.
Incidentally, at the last session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, a new composition of FERK was appointed: Samir Hadžihusejnović, a representative of SDP, Sanela Pokrajčić (HDZ), and Vesna Marić (HDZ).
They are expected to be confirmed by the House of Peoples at a session scheduled for June 12, which means that the decision on the electricity price increase will be considered by the old FERK composition.
