OLD HABITS OF KCUS: They do not submit COVID test results to the Institute, virus kills 12 in Bosnia

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the last 24 hours, 163 cases of COVID-19 infection were registered, and 12 people died from the consequences of the virus.

Entity of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina

In the past 24 hours, a total of 901 samples were reported to the entity's Institute for Public Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which 123 were positive for SARS-CoV-2 (KCUS did not submit data for the previous 24 hours).

New cases were registered in the Herzegovina-Neretva, West Herzegovina, Central Bosnia, Posavina, Tuzla, and Sarajevo cantons.

So far, a total of 993,586 samples have been tested, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 178,155 people.

In the past 24 hours, three people died in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from the Central Bosnia and Sarajevo cantons, while one death was reported retroactively.

The total number of deaths in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is 7,047.

Entity of Republika Srpska

Since the last report on the epidemiological situation in the BiH entity of RS, in the last 24 hours, testing of 190 laboratory samples was performed at the Institute for Public Health of RS, the University Clinical Center, and the Hospital of St. Vračevi in Bijeljina, and the coronavirus was confirmed in 37 people.

These are 25 men and 12 women, of whom six are younger, 20 middle-aged, and 11 older.

According to place of residence, 18 people are from Banja Luka, eight from Bijeljina, four from Mrkonjić Grad, three from Laktaši, and one each from Kneževo, Kotor Varoš, Pale, and Prnjavor.

In the last 24 hours, eight deaths were reported to the Institute for Public Health of RS. These are four men and four women, middle-aged and elderly, of whom two each are from Laktaši and Prijedor, and one each from Brod, Foča, Gradiška, and Trebinje.

So far, 90,641 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in RS, and a total of 5,254 people who tested positive for the coronavirus have died.

In the entity of Republika Srpska, a total of 361,824 people have been tested.

The total number of hospitalized in this entity is 542, with 196 in the University Clinical Center and 346 in other hospitals.

47 people are on ventilators (20 in the University Clinical Center, 27 in other hospitals).

Brčko District

In the Brčko District, three new cases were registered, and one person died.
