Orahov Brijeg residents organized themselves and repaired a water pipe

What the citizens of the Orahov Brijeg settlement in Vogošća did while waiting for more than 15 days for someone from KJKP Vodovod i kanalizacija to come to the field belongs in the category of believe it or not, writes Patria agency.

The main water pipe broke in that settlement, and for days residents asked VIK for a team to come to the field and repair the damage. Since this did not happen, the citizens had no choice but to organize themselves and begin repairing the pipe.

They dug up the asphalt, bought the necessary materials, hired a plumber, and repaired the main pipe supplying Orahov Brijeg.

One branch of that pipe also supplied the local mosque. The activities were initiated by residents of that part of Vogošća, Senaid Zaimović, director of the Vakuf Directorate, Bekir ef. Šuško, and Alija Muminović. Other neighbors also responded to the action, and very quickly, thanks to their own funds, they ensured a regular water supply.

Given that the situation is alarming, it is certain that there are or will be more such examples. However, in that case, ViK should correct the issued bills for consumed water.
