SITUATION NORMAL Ministry of Defence: Armed Forces of BiH not on heightened combat readiness

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After some media published information about heightened combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Defence of BiH responded and denied that information.

"The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are not on heightened combat readiness measures," is the message from the Ministry of Defence.

We remind that earlier some media reported that they had been confirmed that a heightened level of combat readiness was introduced due to the situation in Ukraine and the political crisis in BiH.

"Due to increased public interest in the level of readiness of the Armed Forces of BiH, we inform the following: 'The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are carrying out their regular missions and are not on heightened combat readiness measures,'" they say from the Ministry of Defence of BiH.

Yesterday, Croatia put its forces on combat readiness, and the same was requested in Montenegro by President Milo Đukanović. President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić ordered heightened combat readiness of the Serbian army already on the first day of the war in Ukraine.
